We are offering a SNEAK PREVIEW of our cross country course as a THANK YOU to our donors and volunteers – to those who have helped make our vision a reality. Donors and volunteers are invited to ride or walk around the course and property. You may ride for as long as you wish and on as many horses as you desire during the hours of 10:00am to 2:00pm on Saturday, February 3, 2018. This is a hack/fun day. NO JUMPING IS ALLOWED. The cross country course is not complete and most of the mobile jumps are not placed. Grooming of the tracks and footing is not complete, so be sure to check out an area before you trot or canter there. We will block off areas that are not safe and ask that you abide by all signs and directives.
Every rider must sign/bring a Release and Waiver form, even if you’ve provided one before, and must wear appropriate hacking attire, including heeled footwear and a helmet. Use of Western or English tack is allowed, as long it is safe and in good condition.
Riders are expected to follow general hunting / hacking rules of courtesy, including avoiding running up behind or upon horses traveling slower than you are, stopping to assist riders with fractious horses if possible, and announcing your approach to potentially unaware pedestrians or riders, etc.
We will have food for a concurrent tail gate party. The SAzEA Board will provide a main course with the remainder a Potluck - for everyone to enjoy during the day. Please bring something to share, bring your own refreshments, and plan to sit down for a visit while you're there.
If you are not a current volunteer or donor as listed on our web page, you can make a donation and join us as well! Everyone planning to attend should RSVP by sending an email to southernarizonaeventing@gmail.com or messenger us on FB.
